PERSONAL REQUEST
My Idea for building this website was of course to make a tribute about Ed Thayer. True my work as a brass repairer I have been in contact with the Thayer’s for almost 15 years and got inspired in the history of the Thayer valve. I also heard about the bad situation the Thayer’s got in to, and many of you know now the unbelievable story, as you have read on this website.
One question came in to my mind when I was talking with the Thayer’s about this website and that was;
“ Could it be possible to get something positive out of this website, for the Thayer family ?!! “
So I thought, if every trombone player in the world, who play’s or played with a Thayer-valve, would donate $2,- US (or more) this would be a amazing sign of support from players around the world.
You need to know, this request is mine idea! all money donations will be send to the Thayer Family.
